I started in this position probably about a month ago. My official schedule won’t start until June 20th. It bounces back and forth between two shifts, I’m either 5-1:30 or 1-9:30. I was talked into this position i wasn’t even going to apply for it to be honest and I kind of regret taking it. I’m always reminded by certain members of management “you know the associates that are always working club pick up are merchandisers right?”. Referencing to the “idea” that they actually belong to the floor since all of their job titles/codes are under merchandising. Well yeah when club pick up first started they were only getting around 40 orders PER WEEK. Before the pandemic we were now getting around 90 orders PER DAY. And you’re telling me this place shouldn’t have it’s own team? I don’t see myself in this position for long if management has this narrative that club pick up is no big deal and can be a side hustle for the merchandisers.
