@5bta, I was responding to the troll who crawled out from under a rock, who are you responding to? Maybe you need your head examined and to sharpen your dull comprehension skills.

5sye: what are you taking about? If you think 90k dead is just everyday stuff then you need your head examined. The USA is heading toward having more infections than the rest of the world combined. All is well. Let’s reopen. Party on!

@5cdv, not @4eqi,, Do you have an actual counter response to his/her truthful post in which he or she shredded your false pathetic liberal narrative based on an illiterate spin of nothing ? No, I didn't think so .Just a triggered reaction from being caught because you know you're FOS. You should go back and cry to your mommie instead of on this forum after you catch the virus, my little snoflake, lol.

6%? That’s only 20 million! I few weeks of crying and then they will not be missed (spoken like a good little Stalinist). Besides the Black Plague took over 50% in its day, so today’s virus is a worry just for girly boy cry babies. Just push grandma under the bus already and lets party on! Whoop whoop whoop!

4tqu: your analysis skills are challenged (if not deliberately misleading). The random antibody tests we have to date suggest only about 5% of population as been infected so far (because of aggressive social distancing). So that 90,000 number equals about 6% of those infected (are not dead). Add to that 2-3 times the number who die need multiple days in hospital to recover and you get a huge problem if 50% become infected in just a month or two. It is nothing like the normal seasonal flu. Please crawl back under your rock troll.

@4eqi, Do you actually work for Chevron or just a troll? If you really do work here, everyone should know you are a waste of space and a paycheck. You are a perfect candidate to be run off in the first wave of layoffs this year.

So, you are using another term with a new made-up alternate definition, (lethality) comparing those who died already with everyone in the entire population including those who are not contracting the virus at all because of social distancing and proper precautions, i,e, what you refer to as "mass panic". You just made a point for the opposing argument. Proper PPE, and social distancing are working. Keep up the good work!

@4zhq, With 90,000 dead from covid19 and a total US population of 330,000,000, you are exaggerating the virus’ lethality at 0.00027%. Place your priorities and doomsday thoughts in proper perspective. The common influenza each year k–ls more people. It’s only now that everyone’s in mass panic. Sounds way too convenient in an election year where Trump should win handedly. Never let a good crisis go to waste. Famous saying by Saul Alinsky. Don’t be hoodwinked.

Families can’t buy disinfectants, how do all the small businesses and Corporations get their hands on large volumes necessary to be able to safely open a building?

Using Elevators will be bad enough, have you thought of the escalators..that we MUST place both hands on rails, else it is unsafe ;)

Thinking of a crowded conference room and coffee area..well ... geez!

@fco, You pathetic helpless white male. You are so victimized and deprived. All you do is whine like a pathetic loser on this site all day. It's your own fault that you're a loser. No one else is to blame.

June for the execs and GMs that need to plan the layoffs. Low level manager stragglers will be pulled in as needed to nail down the org. The plebs won’t be back until July, right before the sh!t hits the lay-off fan. If a second wave of Covid happens, expect remote selection events and layoffs culminating with a fedex box arriving on your front door with all your sh! .

Having witnessed the incompetence of CVX Medical, HR creating illegal, on-size-fits-few "policies" and the clueless "Crisis Management" team (that offering training now), I hold little hope for full open in 2020. Best case scenario will be September...

The office will be opened in June. Even if we keep our jobs, a lot of us will not go back ever. No point.

Tell me again how we move throughout the building with only two people per elevator? Also isn’t there a law about buildings that large not being able to accommodate food? I doubt the cafes will be profitable at only 25-50% capacity

Surely, some employees will be called back to work in the office while the remainder are told to continue working from home. After all, not everyone will be able to work in the office due to social distancing practices, elevator congestion, etc. Your question about “who” will be requested to come back to the office. My best answer or guess, if I was a person in charge, I’d request the most essential and productive staff need to return to the office. The less essential, and thus the most likely to be laid off, can remain at home. Don’t shoot me, I’m just being realistic.

I am guessing that all the HES women will come in first in their 2019 Big Bonus Cars. The white males will all be on notice if a job opens and they can uber in sometime in October. I will guess that they will need to uber to the unemployment line.
