HERTZ cars repoed - fake news

It's been couple of days since this was reported on here, but there is not a word about this in the news.
I am sure media would be all over this.
So, unless you can tell us locations where from which cars are repoed, we have to think people are making this up.

The shorts spreading fakenews? Seriously? The ones that were slow like snails with the brain of a pea and somehow got in at 2.60? if you haven’t noticed, HTZ is at historic lows. For those of us that remember HERC divestment and 5:1 split, current price makes us a penny stock. Thank you for investing and screwing us up, Mr. Icahn.

It don’t matter whether you believe cars are being taken away. For once Marinello told the truth and didn’t hide behind worthless history of resilience. Read the Q1 earnings transcript where she says „No business is built for zero revenue. There’s only so long that company’s reserves will carry them.“ We are on life support and dead soon.

I think it's shorties trying to drive the price down.

There are very few employees remaining at most locations, and fear of retaliation is very concerning.

Why would local news outlet pick up a story like this unless it was in SW Florida. There is little impact, and they are running stories about impacts on local economies and they are numerous.

I also remind you of how individual state laws effect the process of creditor liquidation. There is a spiderweb of credit agreements that on much of the collateralized fleet.

The most telling sign that a partial liquidation is in the works would be that there would be very little activity on vehicles in already depressed economies in CA, FL, NY, WA, and NV. The Central Div would encompasses stronger local used car markets that can absorb the selloff- Chicago, MSP etc. Only Detroit economy would present a challenge, but nothing new there.

Just pray that Hertz can survive as a going concern.

All your arguments only confirm my thoughts that this is fake news.
Also, now I think other people on here are right when they say only people who still have a job are not brightest of the bunch.

  1. Cars being moved and cars being repossessed are totally different things, Hertz moves cars all the time for various reasons. (Movements could be because of looming bankruptcy, but that is still very different than "cars are already being repossessed by Court order").
  1. "The media will not report unsubstantiated stories for fear of being sued"

LOL - For past couple of months there is at least 100 stories from different media outlets per week about Hertz bankruptcy. Hertz didn't even bother to dispute this, let alone trying to sue somebody.

  1. "Tried to contact media. They don't care."

Please see number 2.

  1. "It has happened at 4 locations in the Central Division. I am still with the company and can't afford to lose my job."

LOL - if this is true, you will not have your job for too long. Also, you are signing this as "anonymous", so there is no way they can who wrote it. And if really happened at for locations, that means tons of people know about this, and there is no way of knowing who is leaking information.

It's not in the news because everything has to be channeled/validated through Hertz PR. I know. I tried to get the word out about all the good stuff Hertz did for our customers after 9/11 happened. It was p–pooed. So what makes you think Hertz would want bad news disseminated if they didn't care about good stuff. The media will not report unsubstantiated stories for fear of being sued, but cars are being moved. Former coworkers still with the company have told me that large car haulers are trucking vehicles off lot. They are not being told why. This is happening at a major airport location that shall remain nameless to protect the innocent.

Too many good COVID-19 stories.

Ok. Call me a liar. You will see!

Why would we have to wait until next week for "big news" if repossessions are already happening ?
Like I said, media would be all over already. Are you kidding me - they love stories like that.

Don't get me wrong, I personally think Hertz will declare bankruptcy next week, but it's hard for me to believe their cars are being repossessed "by Court order" without any proof.

Its not fake news. It has happened at 4 locations in the Central Division. I am still with the company and can't afford to lose my job. Big news to come next week on this.
