Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Hypocrisy

"We run to a crisis, not away."

Means:

We push our front-line expendable employees towards a crisis (WITHOUT ANY PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT).

"Hey, it's only an illness, & you DO get sick days, right?"

"3000 people a day die in us in car crashes everyday!!!"

WRONG!!!

It's past high time that truth & facts become relevant again in America. If they don't, we as a culture are DOOMED.

"We are all going to get this virus...so let's just get it and move on..... "

Hey potential new customers...how'd ya like it if THIS technician waltzes in through YOUR front door to do YOUR install!

"But he LOOKED healthy", you say, from your hospital bed.

@1rca: lay off MSNBC, CNN (especially) & Fox News and you will be less hysterical and less judgmental.

@1dvs is one of those deep thinkers that gave us Trump as President. Let me ask you a question, brain surgeon. Do car accidents increase exponentially? Do cases of previous strains of the flu increase exponentially? Please turn off Fox Noise and learn about the concept of "flattening the curve" so that we don't overwhelm our healthcare system by having 10 million people in need of hospitalization at the same time. I know Trump is telling you we should reopen the country for Easter but you need to understand he is just looking to save his own behind after stupidly getting his virus opinions from the Limbaugh and Hannity shows..

One of the Major issues is that Verizon is not requiring Customers to notify the company if someone at their job site or House becomes sick within 14 days of a technician visiting their site or home. Verizon Technicians will be bringing this into peoples homes unknowingly in the coming days, or prior days. Yes it's a failure of management to care about new adds more than sick people. but nothing is new.

"it's just spreads the time when ur going to get it.."

Exactly, Chief! There's not enough beds/equipment to serve the potentially huge first wave of victims, if anything close to WORST CASE SCENARIO's happens...

Reducing the numbers of ill people, at any given time, reduces the possibility of a BAD OUTCOME for ANY of them.

Just WOW.

The issue being the vast quantity of simultaneously ill people, overrunning all regional hospitals beyond (your) imagination. The scientists (the only ones to be believed) tell us this. They are saying that in some areas, there may need to be decisions to be made as to WHO CAN HAVE A VENTILATOR to breathe.

Would you like it to be your mother or father to be on the losing end of that choice?

As things now stand, of course we will all get it; any vaccine is probably a year away, probably longer.

You really should put down the gaming controller.

All I know is since “leadership” has been running the stores the metrics should be On Point. TMP, ARD, Pull Through.

Shops in western PA have been out of PPE for 11 days now. HR won’t do anything, Union is too busy making deals with their new management buddies, and management is in 2.0 mode.
Time to contact the news.
