Just passing along what CWA/IBEW and Verizon will announce on Monday. You even get the Hazard Pay if you are home out with Covid, having company directed Self Quarantine, home garaged techs too. As always some exempted locations(HAHAHA only with Verizon).

You will get yours once you know the difference between there and their.

False....300 per week is a rounded number and dollar amount. It goes by percentage. VZ and the Union are not gonna bargain all titles for the same price. It will go by a percentage of how much each title makes.

Lol... that’s like hiring a lawyer and telling them to pay you. You pay the lawyer to negotiate for you. The union is the same thing. The union provides us with a service. The service is to negotiate for us. We pay the union for that service through union dues. At no time, does the union pay us. It is up to us to tell our union that we need hazard pay from Verizon. If we get the hazard pay, it will be paid to us by Verizon.

@211j: Actually, it’s on Verizon, if you look at what AT&T did for both unionized and non-unionized employees. Please stop making excuses for Verizon‘s leadership, or lack thereof, in this crisis.

If you're union it's on the union to give you hazard pay, not Verizon. Great benefit of being unionized!

12000? What stimulus are you looking at?
Tell mommy to turn on the basement light so you don’t see so many zeros.

Ah, its the mommies basement guy. Still lingering around on here hoping for your EISP handout that will never come? Don't worry, the government will send you a $1,2000 crumb.

CWA to increase union dues 20%?
Hmmmm... I can’t seem to find this article anywhere. Instead of being jealous that you're making peanuts and you live in mommies basement, maybe you should ask yourself... “why am I a troll who posts fake rumors”.

To the last poster....omfg....I hate this company more every day.....whenever you take sanitizer out of its original container and put it in a new one....you must wait 72hrs so the alcohol can k–l any germs on the surface first...search it....unbelievable....and they did it with used gloves? Ugh....speaking of gloves, they have small and medium gloves but I need xl....I managed to commmadeer a box of Large gloves at a central office near me (they had 6 boxes )....Verizon’s lack of planning for something like this is revolting....I did an install today that really could have waited a month from now....They already had slower/older services working already....who’s screening these jobs? I’ll be demanding compensation of some kind....I still want to know if a garage in Yonkers was forced to close or not

I heard the CWA was in negotiations to increase dues 20% because it is hazardous to employ union people.

Some Healthcare workers are also getting hazard pay in Pennsylvania as they should. We Verizon techs go into customers houses and touch their home phones, tablets, cell phones, door knobs, hand rails, furniture, routers, TVs, and the dirtiest of all...remote controls. Verizon is not supplying us with proper face masks, latex gloves, and even hand sanitizer. Management is handing out hand sanitizer inside of a cut latex glove finger. They are cutting off the fingers of used latex gloves and filling them with hand sanitizer. So one glove equals 5 techs worth of hand sanitizer. The shop has been out of PPE for 10 days. So why are we crying again?? And if you are sick, maybe you should get tested!

As of today, Pennsylvania CWA is in negotiations with Verizon for hazard pay. Not sure what’s going on in other states.

They took away sunday shift dif by closing stores and centers on Sunday. What makes you think they would give us more after taking that away from us?

I think Comcast is doing 20% too....at least Verizon could give us a paid extra day off this year for each week worked in hazardous conditions....which we could take during summer

By the end of the year you’ll be lucky if we only get a 20% pay cut.
