TRS carry every product line in UK and it's not as if it's a recent thing the takeover of Fishing it was over 10yeats ago, it's the staff not the company that's the issue

At one time wft had so much money they could buy out companies just to get rid of them. Those were the days. Never see that again

Weatherford has always had trouble integrating acquisitions. It's a difficult task for any company, but Weatherford is exceptionally bad at it. They bought so many companies over the years with no long term strategy for how they would fit within the corporate portfolio. Impulse shopping at a corporate scale.

Finally they have managed to grind it into oblivion. Weatherford structure in Aberdeen never really supported fishing from day one when they bought it from Petco. Aberdeen management manipulated figures to show vertical plumbing in an eternal good light while Fishing was robbed of the money it had earned. Never given the money it needed to grow and in some cases equipment shrink wrapped and left to rot while they hired in third party rental tools to fill the hole. Personnel who had the loyalty to the department and tried to keep it going but constantly berated and put down by clueless management !!! Doomed from the buy out as most good companies have been once Weatherford aquired them, all because the managerial structure never had an inkling of how to divert from running casing and renting power units...RIP Weatherford Fishing, you could have been great !!!

Getting Weatherford fishing & equipment is like organizing the Normandy landings, way too many layers of junior and senior management to go through, just not worth the effort when as the last poster said there are other hungrier and faster local companies who can afford to be more competitive not having the top heavy structure Weatherford has. Wireline is a joke, waaaaaaay to expensive and slow to mobilize.

There are local companies in aberdeen that can do wireline and pipe recovery/ fishing. Wft has way too much overhead
