I heard a rumour that redundancies/ severances for the ABU are being brought forward from October to July 2020. Can anybody confirm?

Heard the axe may be swung earlier than first thought. Good luck everyone!
Any insights into timing and which areas will suffer the most...
Has hiring consultants works the last 10 times? They borrow your watch and sell you the time.
One thing Chevron has is abundant redundancies. We have redundancies to unproductive systems, procedures and personnel.
The solution is to hire consultants for the consultants. It’s the only way to get to the bottom of finding out where the waste is coming from.
VCA is still fresh in everyone's minds. Let's pay Boston Consulting another $30m.
Being a Coordinator in the ABU, The amount of time wasted on Admin for the team for nothing gained is mind blowing. We need to stop people delivering nothing and making front line Coordinators excute . If we can't skin the ABU down now we never will. It's tough in this climate but with the OPEC thing going the cuts will come and deep and needed
ABU is (amazingly) cash flow positive but has highest OPEX costs when compared to competitors. This makes it truly low hanging fruit for the corporation, and executive management would not be worth a damn if they can’t turn that into more dollars to pay the previous dividend. Cuts will be deep and across the BU.
HES 30% Reduction across the board had the meeting today.
Shell has gone to 90 day rotations most places to reduce travel and viral contamination.
Heard contractors have been layed off already and 14week rosters on the cards.
They are huge assets. Once they drive their opex down with layoffs they will be viable in this lower margin market. Hopefully the get rid of the corporate overheads that don't add value.
Funny thing is you are probably right. Oil won't recover with this price war but LNG will pretty quick.
ABU is the best asset in Chevron.
@apa, Sorry to hear that you are the low hanging fruit that they speak of, also. Good luck.
@efc - perfect display of the Chevron Way behavior.
@oez, Sorry to hear the bad news that you are going to be cut. (the low hanging fruit)
HES, PGPA,HR ....green badge gone FTE,MTE gone
The usual low hanging fruite good luck to all.
