Here in NJ everyone is doing a week furlough starting next week. Who knows after that we have the option to take a lay-off but then we have to go through the entire grueling hiring process all over again. Once was enough.
If you are on furlough this month you are on the expendable list and likely to be furloughed for an extended time. One month or longer. They dont want to lay off even though that is what it is... Expect more action late may to early june. Much depends on goverment in the various countries.
