Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Bye bye 401k match

You heard it here first! HON will drop the 401k company match for 2020 and possibly 2021. Save your money and stop buying company stock.

How about we only post facts as if they are facts? At present this is only conjecture, not even good rumor material.

If you hate Honeywell so much, go find another job that will give you "better' benefits.

already in the works kiddies.... patience. Only one set of cost cutting measures per month. Make it seem much more thought out.

I am the OP and I have no email stating this but I was around in the 2007-2009 slowdown and I took 4 weeks of furlough one year; 1 per quarter. That's when they took the match away but "promised they'd give it back". Yea that was just another lie from a bunch of goldbricking scumbags. They gave it back but rather than 100% up to 8%, it was some arbitrary percentage like 75.6924%. We still don't have it to this day despite record profits. Keep in mind that these j–koffs wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire; we as employees mean nothing to them. Actually that's a lie, we are a drag on the payroll and s—ing up cost that could have gone I to their bonus structure.

Waiting for a severance package before they completely cut that out.

"You heard it here first!" OP you got any evidence to substantiated this notion? Asking for a friend. By that way, not doubting they would do this as they have done it before. Just checking to see if you have anything to suggest it might be sooner than later. Also, you are not actually buying the company stock, but a fund that mimics the co. stock price. I was in for a while and kept track of how many equivalent shares I should have had and how much dividend I should be paid. What I actually got paid was much smaller than the $3.60 per share that we should be getting if you owned actual HON stock. When I inquired with the fund manager about this, they said the BOD determines what the actual payout is for the HON stock fund. That was when I got out as I did not feel that was right and there was nothing that I could find in the documentation that said how much should be paid out quarterly.

Free money is free money, as long as it is offered I will gladly accept. It could be worse, you could be looking for work in this current environment. Just sayin.

Anybody with any sense doesn’t use their 401(k) money to buy company stock. So your post is senseless
