I can't wait to see the so called "leadership" at this place attempt to startup a factory in that short amount of time. I'm willing to bet it never even materializes. It takes a month just to on-board a single employee, never-mind 500.

oh come on... they want to hire people at 5 or 6 bucks an hr. Yes, below minimum wage.

Phoenix-Area Employees:
A few minutes ago, Honeywell Chairman and CEO D A announced at the White House that Honeywell will begin manufacturing N95 face masks at our Phoenix Engines campus. This work will not disrupt Aerospace operations or our ability to deliver to our customers in any way, as this effort will be managed by the Safety and Productivity Solutions (SPS) SBG. The manufacturing will take place in space that was previously used for storage.
The new manufacturing equipment will arrive at our Engines campus in Phoenix later this week, and production of the masks will ramp up in the coming weeks. This new manufacturing line will support Honeywell’s effort to produce millions of N95 disposable masks monthly to combat COVID-19 in the United States.
Honeywell will create 500 jobs to support this work. If you know of anyone interested in applying, here's how you can help us build the team:
• Refer a friend: Click the job title on one of the jobs on this site and choose "Refer a Friend" on the job description page
• Share externally*: Copy and paste the following link in e-mails, text messages or on social media: https://hwll.co/N95phx

Thank you for your continued hard work and dedication to our customers, our business and each other.

So let me get this straight. Honeyhell furloughs the entire useful workforce for 2 weeks, then brags that they're hiring 500 people to make face masks? Why not just use some of the furloughed workers to do this task? F—ing goldbrickers.

I hope there's enough work to keep all the engine's employees busy. I heard all the subcontractors were let go this week.
