Great job earning junk rating for the Ford stock, Jimmy

I am not seeing his words align with his actions. He told us one thing, but instead laid off contractors. He told everyone in another interview that the company's balance sheet is strong, but instead Ford balance sheet is bleeding out of cash. Ford debt is 10 times higher than the company's market cap valuation. I am surprised it is even possible to be this much in trouble and not go out of business.

How can a guy who is unable to communicate be a CEO?
One of two things is true
He is a brilliant person who in 60+ years of life has not learned to communicate
He is a pretending to be the smartest person in the room by baffling others , talking in circles and spewing B S.

Both disqualify him from being CEO
Wake up Billy Boy

@1inz; the issue with JH and Jim Hackett is more about Hacketts managerial ability to judge talent, and strategy development. Jim Harbaugh is a very overpriced average coach in the BIG10. You can thank his contract on his buddy Hackett. Ohio State fans just absolutely love Harbaugh. The guy is a total under achiever, just like Mr. Hackett...

Why are people hating on Jim Harbaugh?

Ford’s struggles have nothing to do with Harbaugh.

Harbaugh is doing a great job and has brought in a lot of money. Is he perfect? No. Has Michigan been in the top 4 going into the of the final week of their regular season twice during his 5 years? Yes. All you can ask for is is to be competitive. The 2016 team was amazing and fell just short. The 2018 team had a great run, but had a really bad game regular season finale.

The bowl games don’t matter because they are glorified cash-grab exhibition games.

If you think Michigan football has been bad during all of Jim Harbaugh’s time at U-M, then you should also feel that the large majority of college football teams have been bad as well.

Bill and Jim are probably preparing a binge watch of The Huddle and A Day of Understanding to inspire us during these difficult times.

Little known fact about Moonbeam (I don't think he ever mentioned this). He knows how to pick winners. That's why Jim Harbaugh is the head coach at Michigan, ah F#$k let me think of another example... Just the arrogance of that cement head to still make it sound like even that was a good decision even with a publicity documented W's and L's record. Delusions of Grandeur abound.

FCA went out and got Silicon Valley talent in the C-Suites years ago. Mike Manley talented engineer that elevated Jeep brand knows how to win and design, lead and has been making huge profits in North America. Hackett couldn’t run a Hot Dog stand!

About 11 years ago Bill built an estate on the banks of the Huron river just east of Ann Arbor. He is probably disappointed in the PFAS contamination, it looks like he has built a fish pond on the property.

Seriously, I think he is ready for younger leaders to take the reigns as the world has changed a lot. I just worry Farley is the wrong guy.

The guy was flailing when the economy was good and our competitors were making money hand over fist. Now we are in an unprecedented historic crisis and he is completely paralyzed. GM and FCA have taken swift, though unpopular, action and employees know where they stand and when they might get their pack back. Meanwhile our CEO is talking around and around about articles by the CEO of Honeywell!?! What!? This is just the start of what will surely lead to a reckoning and you can lay it at the feet of Bill.

@sot+14funN58 because he is way out of his element. I give you GPS coordinates; the guy's mind is on Mars. Too much football without a helmet, but he played for Bo, a true Michigan man.

@etg+14funN58 please, let me translate.... I have experience with this kind of talk. There are parallels in the universe and they are bidirectionally correlated to keynsian forces in in the business world, vis-a-vis the world economy. Now, when these forces confligrate, there is a resultant vortex of anti flammatism that cannot be ignored. So as you can see, we cannot, AND WE WILL NOT ignore these confligrations and the resultant flammatisms... not my my watch buddy.

Do you understand now?

"We think about the employees first and their health. The hard thing is, if you’re off and on in parallel — in other words, there’s a bunch of challenges to businesses today, that some states up until the last five days were still open for business while others were closed," he said. "And I’ve talked to the people in the government about this. The duality of that is really hard, it's very costly and may not be safe, actually."

WTF is he saying???

Oh for the love of Pete, why can’t the guy succinctly state the situation.

Here I’ll do it for him
1) He has no idea when the plants will reopen
2) He has no idea how he will ensure the plants are safe to work at.
3) He is assembling committees to study the situation and make recommendations
4) He will insist that plant workers return to work before the plants are safe to work at because Ford is in deep trouble and burning through cash.
5) Salaried Employees will take a 25% pay cut.

Seriously Hackett enough of the word vomit.

At this point who in there right mind could consider a shred of truth coming out of the fat man. Plan for the worse, because it is certainly not going to get better. SRD was just a warm up to what this man is capable of.

Where is Bill ford hiding?? Hackett speaks in riddles and gobbledygook. Bill needs to start talking about the future of his company, which is grim right now.

It's interesting we are considering unpaid furloughs whereas GM and Chrysler are planning to pay back reduced salary. Does this mean we are in a worse situation?
