Check out Home Depot's new support for associates

Sam's needs to step it up: (This is from Home Depot's own emails)

Supporting Our Associates
Our associates are important to your shopping experience. We have implemented the following actions to support them during this crisis:
• Added 80 hours of paid time off for all full-time hourly associates and 40 hours of paid time off for part-time hourly associates to be used at their discretion at any time in 2020 and paid out at year-end if not used
• For associates who are 65 years of age or older, or determined to be at higher risk by the CDC, added 160 hours of paid time off for full-time hourly associates and 80 hours of paid time off for part-time hourly associates to be used at their discretion at any time in 2020 and paid out at year-end if not used
• Providing paid time off for any associate who has contracted COVID-19 until released by a doctor
• Providing up to 14 days paid time off for any associate required to be quarantined by a public health authority or the CDC
• Providing additional bonuses to hourly associates in stores and distribution centers – $100 per week for full-time hourly associates and $50 per week for part-time hourly associates
• Providing double pay for overtime hours worked by hourly associates
• Extended dependent care benefits and waived co-pays

All I can say is W T F?!?! Good for them! If only we worked for a big company that could do this for us!!

I know we have had people calling out left and right ( the same people) but they will get the same bonus as us that have been going to work. I think Sam's club should recognize those that keep coming in and not calling off. I know it's our choice I don't want to hear bs about it's our choice. This no points is hurting more than helping.

All essential workers should be compensated. Maybe if Sams paid a little more at this time people wouldn’t call in all the time!!!

Home Depot cares.
I may have to work at Sam's Club, but I will never buy anything from Walmart or Sam's Club again. Will encourage family/friends do same.

Is this true?? If it is, how do we worked for the richest company in the universe and not have anything close to this? Are we all going to band together and fight for fair treatment or continue being over worked, under protected, and under paid......all while risking our lives. This might be the time to do something.

Hmmmmmm Home Depot sounds like Home Depot really stepped up to the plate for their associates and are showing care for them and their well being! Agreed Sam’s Club needs to do the same thing! The extra money on our checks is very nice but we need the money extra time to be able to take off as needed.
