Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Lost another Great employee in Anniston.

We lost another great employee today. In this case it was an employee that provided Security to Honeywell for 20+ years, approaching retirement. This person always helped everyone any way they could. Nicest person you could ever meet.

The selection process of who they are cutting is amazing. At least those selected are landing on their feet, doing better for themselves, and finally respected from those above. The pride of working for Honeywell in Anniston is long gone. It has become a topic you hope people never ask you about. And for those that know you work there; It is an unspoken feeling of embarrassment and shame for staying.

I'm just hanging on til retirement, they will probably fire me before I make it as well.

HON was supposed to announce Anniston closure in March. It won’t happen now due to the pandemic and then the election. If you can last, it maybe another year unless they sale the site which they’ve talked about. If you can get out of HON and find other work, do it. R&O sites are transitioning into larger sites. Other R&O shops should do the same as well.......Tulsa, Kingman
