Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Obtain W2 as ex-employee

I left Cisco last year – I'm trying to obtain my last paystub and W2 but don't have access to the internal GTRC / HR Support numbers.

Can any other ex-employee point me in the right direction for who I can contact to get these tax documents?

Thanks

4085265999 worked. Took a long time to get to an operator, but they were very helpful.

For those saying access the external ADP portal. I got this from HR

“Please be informed that "Paperless Initiative" which allows you to log into ADP tool after leaving Cisco has not been fully introduced yet. Hence, payslips produced after termination of your employment (if any) will be sent via post to your home address.”

This is a forum specifically populated by people in my position likely to have faced the same question, so I posted for a quick answer.
I guess it was "stupid" not to cold call a 1800 number for an 80k employee company rather than post a 2min question to a board full of people extremely likely to give me a quick friendly answer from facing the same question.

This forum is full of trolls, bitter employees, and current employees whining about the company. What part of that user base did you think would give you a quick friendly answer?

As with literally any company, look up their toll free number for the country you reside in and ask the operator for HR and/or payroll.

Besides, as part of your separation, did they not tell you how to register to get external access to your paystubs and W-2? They told me back when I departed in '16, although I'm guessing the process is slightly different now.

We're not supposed to give out internal numbers. So, call the 800 # and ask the operator for HR.

But, any employee should know the internal # for support, which has the option for HR, and any employee should know how to dial internal #'s externally.

Your last paystub should have been mailed to you. Your W2 should be available to you via an external website and you should have gotten an email telling you it was ready for download if you opted for paperless W2. Otherwise, it too, should have been mailed to you.

I made sure to get my paystubs electronically when I left, and kept the last one which was mailed to me. Seems like I recall getting an email back in late Oct/early Nov wanting me to confirm my address for the W2 and giving me the option to get it electronically, so I'm wondering why you didn't get it.

If you're not phishing for internal info, you were careless when you left. Otherwise, you're just phishing and I won't help you beyond saying try the 800 #.

Sorry.

Jesus.

I did some basic researching around, asked a couple employees / former employees who weren't sure.

BUT, let's say that yep it was an incredibly stupid misstep on my part. Terribly stupid. Your response is, for that misstep, you're glad I lost my job and I'm stupid.

Really could have just posted "Best I know is to contact the 1800 number". Probably would have taken less time to post, and you wouldn't come across.. in the way that you did.

Thanks for the reply. I'll call the 1800 number, assuming no one else posts any more direct avenue for a likely very common scenario.

Seriously? You can't be real.... If you're so stupid to realize Cisco has a main number listed on Google that's answered by an operator then I'm glad you left Cisco. Use common sense.
