I left vz recently. Management upto 3 levels above me had meetings with their reports almost every week but passed down no real information. Favoritism and discrimination on various grounds on who would get to talk to senior management everywhere in IT.

understandable. the objective of Verizon IT is to enrich a few VPs and their family members. find another job if you don't like working in these conditions.
I thought most of IT consumer was rebadged 18 months ago.
parallel to eng orgs in IT and respective businesses are redundant. They are going to cut most of IT consumer soon.

And anyone who is loyal to past leader is gone or forced to commit to new regime

Will say this . Worked in consumer.
Everyone was afraid of the svp, very vindictive .
Sad part is his badge only gave him fear if you get what I mean
