Some dumb–s posted on social media that Sam's Club will be open on Sundays at 7am for First Responders so guess what our Market Manager did?

Anyone who thinks first responders are any better off than us apparently have no clue what they do! Get a grip! It's law enforcement, fire, healthcare etc! My God we are all in this together!
Same at my club. Associates and first responders since 7am on Sunday.
We took care of the ones who did show up. They are with the public way more than we are and should be helped. Keep doing all the precautions the health profession says to do every day. Wash your hands. Change clothes when get home, shower. Stay home afterwards etc. we have hired several people the last two weeks who need to work so if you don’t feel safe than take a LOA and stay home. It’s your decision and your life. Only you can decide what the risks are for you.
What are first responders doing for the essential retail workers? Are they going to take us first ahead of others when we are sick? Are they cheering for us when we stock their precious toilet paper? We are in contact with more people than they are if they want to hoard groceries they can wait in line with everyone else.
My store opened 7am to 9am for associates and first responders , closed at 9am and reopened at 10am .
Our club was open for associates at 7am so our CM decided if the first responders came, we took care of them, if they call this week we told them is was a fake facebook posting. Had about 3 associates and 15 first responders. Might be the last Sunday we even open for associates.
wen to the store in Stockbridge Ga and found out it was a hoax. When asked if we could start a membership in store we were told to wait until she could find someone. She then proceeded to let members in without actually looking for a person to help us.
We opened at 7 today and did not close, stayed open.
So ONE club in Florida opened their club on a Sunday for this a few weeks ago and the post announcing it went viral and then everyone thought it was every club. I had to send it up to marketing at corporate (actually my manager did) and they had Facebook block it. It was on a Sams Club blue background and looked real enough but no source reference at all. But unfortunately you can see that some newstations didn’t check for validation and have ALSO been reporting it as ‘nationwide’. I also reported this a few hours ago and now when people try to open the link it says ‘not found’. Unfortunately I can’t catch them all before they get shared. I’m sure some clubs are opening to try to help but as of a few minutes ago this is still not Sam’s Club official. I am using my own personal Facebook page to help dispel rumors but I have to do it generically since we can’t speak for Sam’s club officially. Good luck guys!
We have been open since 7am. No activity in our club. Waste of time and money.
Our club opened at 7 am for associates and first responders. Then at 10am general public is allowed in.
I’ve been to 2 locations in Houston area and neither are open or even appear to have any activity...
It is all over the national media but it seems to be a hoax.
