Open Office Design

When employees DO go back to the office, how are people going to handle the open office design in many buildings? They have people sitting so close to each other, there's just no way to prevent even the common cold from spreading.

Very expensive brand new furniture placed all over - bought from Steelcase. Some of it just sitting there as showpieces. Expensive couches, but no one is using them... Office chairs getting replaced with new ones, even though nothing wrong with old chairs.

Someone thinks that our core business is "Office Space Re-Design". Billy made a mistake- this time. Picking a guy from small dinky furniture company to run a global 100 year old multinational - going thru huge industry shift...

Yea one of the jerk bosses (Ross) had this mentality. If they are connected even s-xual harassment doesn’t stick.

And a related problem of the old man Ford leaders belief that if you can crawl your butt should be at work. Both my LL6 and LL5 brag about not missing work even when deathly ill.
These jerks infect everyone else at work with their germs and then chastise them if they dare to call in sick or work from home while Ill.
That attitude and behavior has to go.

Incidentally these same jerks are the ones who enthusiastically adopted open office space so they watch their underlings all day long.

@cum Hahahaha. Once leadership makes up their minds...... I was in Credit before being SRDd last year. My team's headcount was too big for the open area so they put me and 2 others in a hallway area. The area printer was across from 'desk.'
