Are you experiencing faint glint of success / optimism in the current vast dark chasm? In retail you cannot find that – find a new life of purpose.
To last poster do you mind saying which State you're in. Maybe its our store manager. Haven't seen or spoken to anyone since the debacle.
Jobs are scarce, but someone's mental health is more important in the end. People can only take so much!
Thanks
Our store manager just quit this week as did another store manager at another neighborhood macys. The writing is on the wall!
Makes no sense to quit, the company is paying your insurance right now!
Where are they going, the country is in a shelter in place. No one is hiring except maybe a CVS or Home Depot and there again you are exposing yourself to this pandemic for what I would assume would be very little compensation. Managers quitting now make no sense to me.
That's what Jeff wants. People to quit on their own. No need to eventually lay off workers and there's no need to pay severance. He's a very smart guy.
Get another job! What are you waiting for?
Nothing like having your very life placed at risk so that you could come in and do minor tasks and be asked to pose for pictures with your store manager next to a clearance rack or bunch of merchandise that you just put out. No pay for the next two months when there are plenty of jobs at other retailers who sell essential goods. Expect a lot of colleagues and executives to jump ship if the opportunity presents itself. We are not Jeff or a Store Manager, going without pay for two months simply isn't an option for some of us. Florida unemployment is less than $300 a week and you can't even get on the website to sign-up.
Lost them where? Where are they going and why?
Which store you at ?
