Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Org split

I heard from folks in MCBU that they split up the org within factory recently, and doubled the supervisor positions while keep individual contributors flat. They are in trouble now with the low activities.

Might be time to consolidate again with oil now worth nothing and MCBU has double the number of high grade level jobs doing soft tasks and 5% of planned activity. Time for managers to go back to doing building resumes to do real work to make Chevron Great Again

We’re all of the AMBU employees placed in jobs in MCBU?

Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. Recipe for disaster.

I also heard they also did promotions from within - There are much stronger and more experienced candidates for the AD Manager jobs but they never got a chance to post - recent transformational announcements repeated the closed MCBU merry - go -round. With the lower activity they will downgrade the jobs?
