Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Tempe call center January illness

In January shortly after the center was cut , a respiratory infection was running rampant.

If anyone can share their symptoms & personal perspective on how it compared to the reported symptoms of cov19 I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

The medium article sure sounds like what was circulating at Macy’s. They say it has a 2.2 contagion factor. It went down my row in 2’s . I have never seen everyone get sick like that January.

This is so coincidental you are talking about this. I just read this piece on Medium last night –

"I’m Convinced That My Family Already Had COVID-19"

This woman also lives in Tempe.

The building shares the same zip code as ASU. The disease was contagious before showing symptoms. From the article’s regarding the first identification in Arizona they only contacted who the student was known to have close contact with. They even state in this article that’s not completely possible. I still haven’t seen a mention when the student got back . He could have been contagious for 14 days for all we know.

My symptoms were terrible. My nose ran like a faucet. Probably used a box of tissue a day. Terrible cough, felt like I couldn’t breathe at times. Cold and hot sweats. I had a body temperature of 94 at times when cold. When hot as high as 103. I was constantly sweating. I had to change clothes at night and rotate from my couch and bed because they were drenched from sweat. I had no sense of smell at all for weeks..I can’t recall if I could taste. I had no appetite and one can of soup would last a few meals. I even had the pink eye.

I was employed there, and yes many employees and managers were getting sick including myself. Common flu symptoms, felt like a bad ear infection. So weird I found this as I was thinking about this the other day. I was on Jeremy's team.

in late 2019 someone at the now world-famous Huanan seafood market in Wuhan was infected with a virus from an animal.
