Wild ride! Given the 'bench strength' on this site, I imagine some of you made out like bandits. I mean who didn't pick up some stock in the mid 50's?! I sure did......

For what it's worth CVX is holdin' out better than expected during this turmoil. For most long term employees your average cost basis is much lower than today's price.
"average cost basis"? if that is even the right term. may just be cost basis, IDK.
lookin' good, heavy chevi!
Of course he did. Ask him about all that he lost in the process.
@ijx if you made money by selling at $65 then nothing wrong with that.
Why get laid off from an O&G company and then throw your money away in another O&G company?
Do you really think O&G companies are the best investments going forward? That's dumb.
Yes, Crystal balls, $10 each, come and get one, two or three. They're always on sale after the dip and will tell you what to tell your friends that you bought and for how much !!!!! It's oh, so much easier after the fact - LOL!!!!!!!!
Spent my APC VSP on CVX and EOG on the dip. That horse is going to pay double.
Why buy CVX and double the money....I bought EOG at 38 and hope to triple. Price of oil will bring this all back one day. Wait for it.
I would buy CVX for the dividend. Missed the boat this last time. The fact that it shot back up is just an extra bonus. If it goes back to around $60-$55 again, I will definitely buy a small amount of 100-200 shares.
The last time I bought any CVX it was a heck of a lot lower than in the 40's and 50's, so there's that. But I don't get on here and wait until after a stock dips then lie anonymously about what price I bought or sold it at as many do on not just this site, but others. No one's fooling anyone here. Who do you think the audience is?
" intelligent people cease the opportunity" That level of literacy pretty much sums up most of the posters on this site, lol.
@zkh, Is it really that the Saudis and Russians cannot agree on terms? I think it’s more the people at the negotiations table or the hedge fund media promoters are playing the markets for their own gain. I guarantee you this little ploy won’t work any longer to sway the markets the way it has the last two times. The next time it’s announced the two parties have reached an agreement, it will be like crying wolf.
Oil going down again between 7-8% because Saudi and Russia can't agree on mutual production cuts. Is anyone surprised? I still expect to see it in the teens.
I sold at $59 n bought back at $85. Its at $82 now so i may sell again. Yep wild ride, beat that.
@aau, We all know that. People always tout their successes and hide their losses, but you should know most intelligent people cease the opportunity to get in early on anything that they can profit on. Why do you think XOM and CVX, among other oil stocks have gone up so fast? Answer: The stock is being snapped up because it’s cheap right now.
I bought some XOM at 32, well 31.71 to be exact.
I sold at 65
Of course you did. People only talk about their successes you know.
