Work-From-Home CSR-Phone Rep: Are there any other CSR-Phone Reps here who have been "furloughed"? I had a meeting a week ago with new DM (Our DM was "furloughed" 2 weeks ago), my TS and Team and I'm pretty sure we were told our jobs would be safe until April 30, 2020. Fast-forward, 1 week later, some of my other colleagues received an email telling them to attend a virtual Zoom meeting. Three different meeting times were offered, no time was reserved for a meeting on their schedule. Halfway through my shift, I noticed an old teammate had logged off. When I reached out, he confirmed he thought he was furloughed but his TS called him back and told him to log in again, Coincidentally, I then received the email that the other agents had received earlier. My TS didn't know anything (I was told) and simply said if I received the email, attend the meeting. The meeting was a swift 5 minute meeting, we were asked to chat our EID and Name and muted from responding to the Moderator. We were told we were furloughed for 2 weeks, with pay, and could elect to use PTO for the remaining days after April 22. We were told the decision was made carefully and, when I asked my DM about the accuracy of the decision (after the mistake made with my former teammate who was immediately recalled on the same shift), I was told there was no mistake. Seems a bit messy to me and I'm considering submitting an inquiry through the Ethics Hotline. Anyone else have a similar experience, recently?

I've been with Enterprise almost 4yrs just had the quick rude meeting today stating that the furlough would be permanent lay offs. And that we would recieve a email from HR about further information. Nothing about calling anyone back when business picks up no hope of rehire. I fell that was handled unprofessional and no one was around to ask questions or concerns. Does anyone know if they have plans of call backs or will they be dirty and hire new for less pay?
I attended, I did not record. Everyone at the meeting was laid off. Severance will be paid based of the numbers of years employed, have to send back equipment, more info from HR to follow.
Did anyone participate in Zoom Meeting announcing layoffs on 22-APR-2020 at 13:00 CST and record the meeting?
Enterprise is letting people go, right and left, as well. The furloughs are becoming lay-offs now. My co-workers and I are among them.
I was furloughed on the 9th. I think the second round of furloughs went smoother than the first. My TM didn't really know until right before it happened with the first round. to have easy with meeting in the morning. I got an email from HR asking me to register for one of four meetings. Three for Wednesday and one for Thursday. Because it wasn't set up by department it's either going to be an extension of the furlough or layoffs in my opinion.
Hertz just fired like 50%-80% of the company today. I wish I worked for enterprise.
hertz just had a massive layoff, plus they extended furloughs - so, it can be worse.
I was furloughed last Wednesday and had a very similar experience. We'll know more on 4/30.
I really hope the economy picks up and they start sending people back to work and travel.
This virus is horrible but we'll have people lose homes and lose healthcare and everything they saved if this continues.
I was furloughed Thursday. Same experience. Just a quick meeting and told to log out. We're getting 2 weeks pay and on April 30th they're going to see if business has begun to pick up again so they can start bringing people back. Most states require vacation time to be used before they will pay unemployment benefits, so it's not the company forcing people to use their time.
Once things start to get back to normal in the coming months they're going to bring us back to work.
