Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Don’t stay in a toxic cycle just because it’s familiar.

I’m sorry guys. Honeywell is a toxic environment. I left after 15 years scared to death that I wouldn’t find anything. The grass really is greener on the other side. Don’t keep putting up with the HON management style. They’ll chew you up and spit you out. You’ll be appreciated elsewhere. It’s up to you though.

@hxx+14rHaVkX, many companies paying and treating employees better than Honeywell. Vacation 10 days is a joke! Garmin starts at 17 days, Raytheon has every other Friday off. It feels like the company wants employees to give everything but doesn't want to pay for the effort. Honeywell the future is what we take!

Life is short. Stop wasting it on HON. My story is the same. Got out in time to avoid the furloughs.

Now....it Hurts so badly looking back at all the great men and women suffering at home un paid because of GREED at the Toxic HON. There is no limit (legal or not) that they will go to take a dollar from its workers.

Been with Honeywell for 10+ years, and have seen the working environment just get worse and worse. I've had enough and will be sending my resume out shortly. There was a time early on when it was at least somewhat enjoyable to work here, but bean counter management has managed to s— all enjoyment out of the job. Think Bob Seger's "Feel Like a Number" and that pretty much describes how it feels to work here.
Wish me luck!

All the posters are right.

It is easy to get trapped in the toxic cycle. It s—s a lot of energy out if you to deal with it. You start forgetting there is a big world out there. It’s like when people get trapped in a personal cycle of abuse and we keep believing that somehow it will change. It will not. The company will not change because it does not want to change. This is how they want to be.

Those of us that feel the company is toxic need to do the minimum to survive our jobs, and put our energy into getting OUT as soon as possible. Once you check out and put your energy on the future then the c-ap at work doesn’t bother you as much

It might be hard right now but the economy will bounce back. And when it does we need to be ready.
