Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

This Site Deletes A Lot Of Topics

Does Chevron have some kind of grade school hall monitor person to constantly check this site for deletions?

Of course there is that angry troll, (you), who calls everyone the annuity troll whenever they post about annuities, and that angry troll, (you) who complains if the topic doesn’t fit her rules. Another (you) always says everyone is about to get laid off. So other than that one troll(you), the site is well moderated, as described below.

Luckily there are only a couple angry laid off trolls here (or maybe just one doing it all). One likes to post about taking the annuity and how happy he is. Another complains if the topic doesn’t fit her rules. Another always says everyone is about to get laid off. The mods have to delete stuff to keep everyone happy and avoid law suits. The site is a cash cow for the laid off genius who started it.

There are few trolls trying to stir the pot, site mods nix their posts on a regular basis. Posts using foul language and personal insults get deleted too.
You can read the site rules in the footer, but this copy-paste from another forum board here sums it up pretty much:

I've been on the site for a while now and here is my observation on what kind of posts mods/admins delete:

  • Foul language (a big no-no)
  • Defamation
  • Racism
  • Anything that has personal info
  • Using names excluding public figures like PR, Comms, Board and C-Level)
  • Unsupported negative posts (e.g., you will all be laid off, ford engineers are not competent, etc)
  • Trolling (they axe this sometimes, I've seen some troll posts survive but they typically nix it)
  • References to violence and sgurd (read this in reverse, I don't want to be tagged as pitching it here, merely trying to avoid being blocked)

So why are you two bothering to read and post on this site if it's so bad? Appears you are the problem here.

@kww, yea, right on with that comment about this site being nothing but childish fluff and not much about layoffs at all. pretty sad as this is a serious issue that a lot of us are facing

The previous post is a cut and paste job. It has been used before.

Yes it sure does. I also heard that there is a website that is specifically for layoff topics, where employees can post questions and topics related to layoffs. I click on the one that I think it is, and I keep getting sent here, which seems to be the "let's chit-chat about anything Chevron old and new" site for children of the employees. There are already dozens of sites I can go to for that. I was looking for topics specifically related to layoffs. Guess I'll keep looking.

Agreed. Many time I close my laptop on a certain post on here, and the next day when I open the tab back up, it says not found or deleted or something like that!!! WTH!
this website is getting paid to remove posts. i don't think they genuinely care about us or our concerns, they just want to make money whichever way they can. typical corporate c-ap. profits before anything else.

Yeah, it's true. If you post anything remotely negative that's factual and supported by data, the positivity police delete it.
