Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Question for those who are not working from home

What do you do when you get home? Are you worried you might be passing something to your family members without even knowing? I know a few people who are living in their guest houses/garages/whatever but I don't have any of those options. I'd lie if I said I was not worried...

Honeywell are not putting distance between employees in UK. We are heading to more deaths than Italy. The government are paying wages to stay home but nope, good old honeyhell are happy to risk lives and keep full time work going

I’m not in your situation ... I don’t know all the possible scenarios...

  • how healthy are you? How healthy are all the people in your house?
  • how much PPE is Honeywell giving you every day?
  • how far away from other workers can you keep?

I’m trying to find an article I had read a couple of weeks ago but can’t seem to find it. It was the story of a medical worker who would come home and basically have a clean towel and a bucket out on her doorstep ... when she got home she would take off all her clothes (rolling up the fabric so she was only touching the inside not the outside). her shoes would go into the bucket and she would spray disinfectant all over the shoes and leave them out to dry overnight.
When all her clothes were off she would carry them in and put straight into the washing machine. Then she would head straight into the shower and clean off as best she could..

Is that a 100% solution? No but it helps prevent cross contamination... if you yourself are a carrier that won’t help ... but until we get better and faster testing ...

Good luck and stay safe.
