Considering that a lot of small medium businesses are going to be hit by this recession, what might be the impact on NetSuite. Also considering the fact that NetSuite went through major layoffs in last couple of months

Being an old-timer and having seen some recessions in the past, my experience is that no company, large or small, will be buying in the near future. Small companies in particular, will have less money to spend. I don't think that being in NetSuite will help you that much.
Could be good though... smaller budgets means medium to large companies would happily consider NetSuite, if only mama Oracle did not segregate territory lists.
Oracle is advertising NetSuite. I expect they will put money there, even though it is going downhill. Of course, the guys at the top don't know it's a lost cause.
