Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

If NOT hazard pay how about something comparable to Home Depot !

Walmart the top of employer of the US and one of the biggest profiters of this past month while many companies are not even operating . They should and could give back by showing thanks to there front line employees that continue to show up to work everyday to risk all ! Home Depot a big Company but not near as big as Wally World and Sams combined . Stepped up to the plate and GAVE there front line workers FT 80hrs and seniors 160 hrs and anyone with high risk also 160 hrs . Plus a $100 a week bonus as these weeks continue and to top it off double time pay for over time . Thankful for a job but the top 1% in the company shouldn’t be the ONLY ones profiting from this overly crowded seeing more people pass you that Christmas time and working harder as they sit at home counting there $$$$.

The extra $50 or $100 is peanuts. The PTO is government mandated so it’s not like the corporate sloth actually care about what we do. The customers aren’t picking up essentials- they’re shopping-and should be ashamed of themselves (not only for their terrible attitude but also for expecting the business to adapt to their different needs right now). I’ve been cussed at and threatened in the past few weeks while working at the door counting people in. The parking lot is packed. The line to get in is over 200’ long and some people are mad like they didn’t make the decision to come to HD and buy their sh– today.. they act as if they’re forced. And not to mention the online orders are coming in 1 every 3 minutes! And you know what all those orders are sitting around the store getting in the way of people, products and the ability to access
Overheads where the products are kept. It’s a joke. I’m so ready for this literal headache to stop. They can keep the extra $100 because its marginal compared to the cost of doing laundry so often and being so burnt out that I just end up spending it on food. And let’s not forget the returns- we should not be accepting returns of general merchandise right now. There’s enough chaos, no social distancing and no incentive to work like this other than it’s a job I need to pay for my rent and all the other bills.. especially when if I was in unemployment I’d be making more money than I do now. Ridiculous

Maybe Home Depot can do these things because they’re the number one retailer in the world. Oh wait.........

I thought if we get the virus, they would give us "partial" pay up to six months. Depending how much it is, and how sick, we may not need to worry about the old school sick time.
