My manager mentioned that due to the furlough and overall performance of the company that we may not receive any merit for next year as well. Is there any truth to this, or has anyone heard the same?

absolutely no merit increases in 2021. I dont know if you realize you just got stiffed for your hard work in 2019. this will go on into next year maybe even the following depending how long HI management can get away with milking it. I have been around the company for long enough to know they will use any excuse possible to screw their employees.
@JrE you think? When you play hide the money every quarter, you have plenty when you really need it. Aero's got that game down cold.
The more people quit and retire the more likely there will be pay raises. Honeywells problem is lack of turnover.
Without a doubt there will be no raises next year. Honeyhell will milk this out for all it can. Next year it will be, "We had a difficult prior year" (and need $ for the bozos)
@TruthBomb
Are you aware of how inflation works?
"It will be a decade or two before merit raises equal the current rate of inflation."
What a dumb statement considering the last 5 years have had no inflation yet Merit raises have been awarded....
If you must worry, worry about the gargantuan layoffs heading our way, not the pipe dream of merit pay being restored
In the meantime start job hunting
It will be a decade or two before merit raises equal the current rate of inflation. Who do you think will be paying for the 4 trillion dollars add to the National Debt? Not the Rich and Famous. Champagne dreams and Caviar Wishes... fellow mushrooms!
Work was canceled also...
Haven’t heard anything official but most likely MIP will be cancelled... merit pay raises depends on the state of the economy and projections for growth. Each SBG will have to decide what works for them ... PMT and Aero will likely have a hard time justifying merit ... SPS might have a good case.
MIP is based on company results compared to performance metrics developed early in the year. I heard a rumor that Honeywell might do so well given that the entire world is in quarantine and 90% of air travel have been canceled. Probably just a rumor....
@OP...don’t put too much energy into that thought. You AND your manager might not even be around next year.
