500 billion gross - 1.2 billion to the bottom line which will only be 3.5% off estimates. UP can blame weak quarter to virus and will prosper on. This will happen, mark my word.

Well I didn’t drink it. If you believe that grass is red that is great. Grass still looks green to me though.

Since you started the name calling game, you are a most likely a manager or a wannabe that couldn’t get one.

You’re correct. You’re all of those things.

Manager would tell you that grass is red, because “they” said so. It is preprogrammed/brainwashed. If you argue with them that grass is green, then you will be labeled a dumba$$, troublemaker, or not a team player.

@ybt Agreed! About 75% of the manager in the Car Department don't need to be on those jobs. No matter how it's spun. It's not what you can do or what you know. It's who you hunting or shooting buddy is. Also a few Car Directors need to go as well.

@OP Layoffs have been ongoing since October of 2018. You're basically telling everyone that water is wet. Maybe there are some agreement workers who don't know that water is wet? I wouldn't be at all surprised if that turned out to be true.

Get rid of Vena. Don't fill backfill the position. Get rid of Lance. Hire a new CEO that actually knows about the railroad so you don't have to play good cop bad cop. Vena doing all the work and Lance smiling for the cameras. A dog and pony show. We could eliminate 50% of the current executive roles at least. Just trying to save the company $$$!

The numbers are good if your heads in the sand. The company has taken on a massive amount of debt and the customers aren’t there anymore to offset it. The current PSR/Unified 2020 plan isn’t sustainable long term, which is where the focus needs to be since this company has been around for 150+ years. Time will tell just where this company will go but short term it’s going to be a disaster. Hold on and watch the fires start raging and can’t be put out due to not having enough equipment or people to do what needs to be done to make the company money.

Hearing car and locomotive departments to get hit hard again. Nonagreement too. Will be a few less executive level positions needed. Some retiring early some forced out. Even myo and mto field positions not safe. Going to get rid of some low performers you know who you are.
