Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

PTO....

Anyone heard of restrictions of use of PTO...I've heard we can't start using it until September...if this is the case, how will all stores be able to handle the mass PTO requests of their full time empliyees...I can speak of myself and just 3 colleagues that have more than 19 weeks...never mind the other fulltimers not included...It could be scary!

Thanks for letting us know that us full-timers might not be getting our regular full weeks of hours if we come back. I've been concerned about that so I am going to ask up front.

My check this Friday has my day I took last week to help supplement my check since I'm FT and only got 22 hours worth of shifts to work. No one told me I wouldn't be guaranteed my 32 hours a week to come back to work, if I had known that I would have stayed home.

I've input 2 days for week after next, no problem. We had several take a few days last week, no problem. More have time this week, no problem.
Sounds like a bad rumor going around, which is typical for Macy's employees.
If you are "hearing" that you can't take your PTO, ask for a copy of the document stating this policy.

We are in Florida and my boss told us no pto will be allowed until around Sept. i guess it depends on the location and their guidelines if you are booking it. I heard they are not even opening the pto request window until they allow us to take it. and it's their problem if everyone books at the same time.

Employees using PTO this week for Ramadan are getting paid. No one is being denied access to their PTO. Check MTO and see for yourselves-only key days are blacked out, not the next 5 months. Good grief, people.

We were told no PTO would be paid out too. So, you may be booking it at your store but you may not be paid. Perhaps your manager doesn't know about it, or hasn't told you. Don't count on being paid for it.....
