Layoffs to continue through Wednesday. Only first shift RIFs Monday. Noone from 2nd or 3rd shift hit or the weekend shift as of now.
18 people canned so far including the volentaries. I've heard 56 total, which about 10%. I've also heard its gonna be 10% this week, then another 10% mid June (3 weeks from now).
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if the whole site closes with the way they are handling the Golden Valley Fabrication right now.
I was one of the people in Urbana let go. I was there a very long time,worked more than my fair share of OT and brought a lot to the table. Roughly 60 people let go tis week from OEM and over in R&O. It seems like the hard workers were let go and slackers and favorites were kept. There were even some let go who were out on medical.
They are going to bring those jobs to Stinson.
Golden valley transition is a big damn mess for us at Minneapolis as well. Honestly isn't one good thing to be said.. What a joke this Company and Union is. Never been more ashamed working for a Fortune company.
It's no different anywhere else in Aero. The promotion of Mickey Mouse to Aero president is all the evidence needed to show that performance and competence have nothing to do with advancing one's career at Honeywell.
Unfortunately, the hardest working individuals are the most likely to be let go. Favoritism, Nepotism, and the Good Ole' Boy mentality runs very deeply in Urbana. They favor their Brown Nosers, Yes Men and Princesses who get away with ANY and EVERYTHING.......SAD but TRUE
