Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Anyone know what is going on?

When will this all be over? Anyone know when aero will be done? (OEM and R&O)

Here is the reality. Corporations do not exist for their employees. They exist for one reason and that is to provide a return for their shareholders. I have been to Morris Plains as well as Morristown (before they moved). I haven't been to Charlotte but I can tell you with certainty that NONE of the leadership gives a hoot about any of you. They never have and never will. You are strictly tools in the toolbox that they can either take care of or dispose at will. I have been with the company over 30 years so trust that I know what I am talking about. We have some very competent caring mid level managers but once you get past Director (or Senior Director), it is a dog eat dog Corporation.

Stay or go, just understand the reality.

Our group is right now being told actions are complete within our team.

Aero makes money on sales, airlines aren't flying and will be severely cut back for years to come.

You're a fool if you think this is the last layoff or furlough.

Leaders think announcing a layoff is negative press so avoid it. Keep the number of heads below the magic number each qtr and you don't have to make an announcement. We all know we are in a shrinking ship.

It is shady and dishonest. But those of us who work or worked for HON understand that the stock price is the only thing that matters. People don’t matter. The company is run by incompetent sociopaths and their behavior trickles down and poisons everything and everyone.

HON will not publicly announce layoff numbers, because it keeps us "off the radar". It's almost shady and dishonest, in my opinion

Just for the record... Boeing 16,000 layoffs, GE Aerospace 13,000 layoffs, and Rolls Royce Aviation just announced 9,000 jobs... you really think this only has to due with Honeywell? Wake up, people!!! It would be nice if they actually gave a number like these other companies... that is poor management.

I was just told the notifications will continue through this Friday. This is all Mad Mikes fault.

Stress can bring out the best in us!! Looking to move on, waiting’s brutal

Remember we are in this together, we are not the bad guys here! All of us just want answers and clearly HW likes to keep everyone in the dark.

We the little guys need to help the little we can! Information is good! Not knowing causes much more stress on us!

Let’s try to support one another best we can! Leadership will use us up, till we are no longer of any value to them!

It will continue as long as the numbers aren’t being met. DA and Mickey Mouse running aero will keep cutting heads and employee benefits to keep the shareholders paid along with the j–koffs at the top; that’s all matters. I suspect we will see more furloughs and RIFs throughout the year to the point where we are all doing 10 people’s jobs with aero leadership laughing telling us the old Honeywell standby: you’re just lucky to have a job!

Does it matter? It will continue until the global economy sees an uptick. With so much unpredictability, we may be in this cost reduction action for a long time to come. Question isn’t when it will be over but how deep will this go on for.
