As a Horizons employee, you are relatively cheap, so they don't save as much by firing you. In a few years, you will worry about getting cut. Chevron is desperately trying to shed older workers. Enhanced EOI is aimed at getting uncommitted employees in the less than 40 range to leave so that they can balance out the large number of older than 40 people they want to lay off.

My son was Horizons and got cut in 2016. No guarantees. If you are not needed, then you will get cut if there are no enough other people that voluntarily leave. Drillers are in trouble...all support organization in trouble. Anyone associated with marginal assets are in trouble

If you hired within the last two years, you should not worry as your job won’t likely be touched. Any other Horizons new hires with over two years, your job is likely safe, but not absolutely. It’s going to come down to how well you’ve been learning and making contributions to the company.

There have been some solid troll posts on here lately. The genuine conflict-courting trolls are a nice change from annuity troll, Gombu tard, and HES troll. Probably HES. If you are a female in HES and Horizons, you are most assured a gold ticket. It is the males that need to be worried. I am guessing they will be replacing 40 year old white males with 22 year old horizon females in this shackup. Thanks DP.
