Any indication as to whether laid off US employees will get an extension of their health insurance?

Almost 39 years here. Named Best of IBM a couple of times within the past 5 years. Never a poor performance rating....but that doesn't matter. My age does. To make sure there isn't an age discrimination uproar they offered most of us over 60 the option to work in Columbia, Missouri. No mention of the type of job, pay, or dept. They know we won't take the job offer but it covers IBM against age discrimination...."see, we offered them a job!" RAed last year at the same time but found another job in the same line of work. This time, I'm leaving. I know this action has been in progress since the end of last year and they had to postpone it due to COVID-19, but they can't wait any longer. It was imperative that they get costs off the books before the end of June as we are expecting abysmal results in my division. And the leadership walks away with $20M.
Its called cobra, only good for a few months and you still have to pay out of pocket.

I am with GTS (Project Manager) & 22 years with IBM. I received same package as others - June 22 last day with 90 day severance package. Now that IBM is cutting costs, who will be around to help them on the revenue side.

RA notice today in Cognitive Systems marketing after only 13 months with the company. Not too far from retirement age and feeling glad I beefed up my skills (AWS!) in the past year.
Five years or so with the company out of college so on the younger side. in software and cut, with 30 days notice
25 years with IBM, GTS program management. As a California resident, I was told that I get 60 days to separate rather than 30. All other elements of the RA package same for me as reported by others.

Was informed this afternoon. RA'd. In e-mail "... IBM is now taking structural actions that are critical to our long-term competitiveness." Retirement age after 18+ years of service.
How do I know, I've been laid off? I had a 1:1 all of a sudden and informed about there may be some lay off in the team but my manager did not tell that is me. Is the severance package is same across with no respect how long you serve in the company? I am less than an year old with this company I am sorry to see and hear this news and its very unfortunate.

My friend's entire US team got RA'd today. He was offered to move to Missouri if he wanted to stay with IBM. We lost four people from my team.
I commented on here a couple months ago then left for a better job very end of Feb. I’m not a fan of polishing the brass on the titanic. I mentioned how Ginni gutted the company all the way to the bank with nothing but lies and a canyon of money for herself and the same team that helped destroy the company. Now she steps away before the slaughter laughing her but off. There is a pandemic and that I get BUT this truck was headed for a brick wall way before that. I hope someone does an expose on what Was done to ibm to go from 112b company down to 77b. Execs stayed and got paid while the people executing on their direction got fired every time one of the execs hair brained ideas failed. They should teach a class in university on the fall of ibm.

My team hit today. Last day is June 22. 12 months health at "discount" rate, and 3 months severance package if you sign some restrictions. I am 34 years with IBM, and they gave me 30 days to find another job within IBM, that I am sure everyone will be fighting for.
