Thoughts? Estimates? What does your gut tell you? I am assuming cuts are coming...

Keep in mind it's not the H1B's that caused the job loss. It is our own government and the management making these decisions. H1B's do work hard and the ones I know are very nice. Companies do not hire American citizens out of the goodness of their hearts no many how hard you wish for that to happen. In hard times, they look more at productivity which explains why layoffs are typically directed towards middle management. Layoffs has been a concept long before H1B's. Let's not target a work group to aim our frustration at. When this craziness is over, we need to be able to look back at our actions and not regret them.
There are way too many managers that do nothing. They have cut the actual worker bees to the bone. I don't see how they can cut anymore and keep doing the job that needs done. They need to thin out management. It won't happen, but it needs to.
It seems the U.S. is being turned into a sh—hole country.
There was just a news conference saying that Floyd, the black man in Minneapolis was deliberately murdered by the police. The preliminary autopsy said there was no evidence of asphyxia. The independent autopsy said that he clearly died of asphyxia.
The video shows, and Floyd's body shows abrasions consistent with the officer placing intense pressure on his neck and back. It shows that the officer shifts his knee after Floyd speaks deliberately to cut off his airway. Pressure on his back compressed his lungs to make it even more difficult to breathe. It was not an accident, it was a technique to prevent the man from breathing. He was deliberately murdered and he has probably done the same thing before. The officer knew what he was doing.
The doctor in the news conference says he believes Floyd was dead after 4 minutes, but the officer continues for twice that long.... to make sure he was dead? He was k–led by the officer deliberately. Moving his knee shows he had knowledge of exactly what he was doing to the man.
It appears that the medical examiner was in on it and lied on the preliminary autopsy report.
Systematic murder of black men in Minneapolis? Perhaps so.
If that's not a sh—hole country, I don't know what is.
HP is now reconsidering layoffs, after a brief pause due to the corona virus.
I'll guess 10% of the workforce in the U.S.
No one is going to get rid of H1Bs. They are the bread and butter of the super wealthy in this country. The super-wealthy includes our commander in chief. He will not be doing what you think, that's just the carrot he continues to hold out to his followers. He will not screw over his donors, his fellow super-wealthy citizens. They are all the really count to him. Followers can be lied to.
Safra has decided no one shall be let go. All Oracle employees are critical to cloud growth.
If you aren’t directly tied to customer cloud account with ROI, your toast.
Axe will fall come June 2020!
It will be 25-30% of US citizens, 0% of H1-Bs.
I know of H1-B's who have been riffed at O.
MH's pillar strategy will be sc-apped and that will free up 35-40% of the sales deadwood to be kicked to the curb. Hardware is over, so there's even more sales headcount to be slashed. Gonna be a ton of people on the short call this year in June.
It will be 25-30% of US citizens, 0% of H1-Bs.
sorry to say it will be massive....US Sales especially CX s—ed wind this Fiscal. Its not sustainable and thus we have started assembling the FedEx packages
IBM just whacked 40% of their onshore workforce @OP+155nhtYw
I do not think we'll have massive cuts - but I do think they will go after sales folks again as they are automating more and more sales processes. I have no insider info and I am just speculating.
