Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

Tuboscope corporate office

Went by there today to meet with a customer of mine. That place is a graveyard. Is Tuboscope closing down? I’ve never seen that facility that empty. I thought it was one of the stronger groups within NOV.

If he shows up for work you do nothing. If he calls in sick from the brown bottle flu often you may be able to lay him off.

His personal life as a drunk and wife beater has nothing to do with NOV. Is this your opinion of him or a professionals opinion? There is a lot of hear say around Tuboscope & NOV, you can't believe everything you hear.

If he's performing his work duties there's not much they can or will do, except maybe get him on random alcohol & d–g test.

What do you do when an employee of tuboscope beats his wife, and is a functioning alcoholic. He needs help.

Why is Holmes Rd exempt from having to come in and possibly be exposed to the virus when every other facility is required to report in? With our management team gone the last 2 months, it’s obvious how little they’re really needed around here.

Most of Holmes Road is working alternating schedules at home for social distancing. Also it's the Friday before a 3 day weekend. I wouldn't read too much into that.
