Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Who moved my cheese?

When I was laid off many years ago, my manager gave me the book, 'Who moved my cheese?' Her father gave it to her on her graduation day. He told her, "Read this every night, for 30 days, before you go to sleep."

I did, and it changed my life. I now read it once a month.

Change happens, be prepared. Then, you can adapt to it.

I love the irony of someone who advocates embracing change reading the same book over and over again for years.

Where did you hear that IBM is selling off/closing down its storage business?

Can you substantiate your claim?

So looks like IBM is selling off/closing down its storage business.

I think the premise of the question is an error. It was never your cheese. It was company cheese, and you have no need to know who moved it.

Op here. She bought a copy for everyone that got laid off. A team of 16.

Did she give you a new copy or did she regift the one her father gave her? She might have been trying to clear her garage and giving everyone one of her old books.

I bring up that book as well when the anti-remote work dinosaurs start barking nonsense.
