Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

DO NOT SIGN SEVERANCE PAY

If you make the regular pay of a CSR or Return Rep. Do not sign your Package. Check with your States Unemployment pay first because it will effect it and you will be declined. Your compensation will be void because you make more than your State. Again, check with your States pay. Even though they are installments, it all adds up to your weekly paycheck amount based on what they gave us. SCAM!

Once you sign, you're done. This from an Attorney. They are trying to rush us into signing so they don't have to pay it! Also beware of making sure HERTZ Pays up on your incentives earned for the month of May. I got en email saying they will but do we trust anyone there right now?

Also do not use your name on social media if you do sign. They can void it as well if you bash them. Be nice and just say what an A–hole the Staff os, lol

of course, you cannot sue them by signing however not paying the agreed sum is a breech of contract so it doesn't matter what it said.

Are you nuts, we very seldom call anyone back unless they were not paid very much. Otherwise we always looked at what the laid off people were making to see if it was cheaper to hire new. Why would I bring back a CSR who was making $20 per hour when I can hire new for $11?. Do the math. Oh yes, I would rehire you because I liked you, get over yourself and welcome to the new Hertz.

I signed mine
I spoke to HR
At the time they said they were planning
To call as much of us back as they could
Also what we were given in severance was ours and we would not ask to repay it.
Last I spoke to someone once things pick up they were going to call us back

Also remember there is most likely working in the severance that says you release Hertz of any liability so you cannot sue them or be a part of any class action. Sign it you give up all rights.
