Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Estimate: RA Size 5/2020

What's your estimate as it relates to the size of this RA? Felt like the biggest one so far (14 years with IBM)...

I echo what @fsk said below - it's in a 40K to 50K headcount reduction range...

The rumor mill says this was suppose to happen in March and was to be NA only. Europe/Asia was suppose to also get a 20k reduction, but in the 2nd q. 900 million allocated in the 1st q which would result in approx 20k impacted. If you extrapolate to Europe/Asia and use another 900 million that gets you An additional 20k. Take the remaining 200 million and throw it at Exiting commodity HW/Sales/Channel and/or India streamlining and you get another 10k. So approx 50k Impacted when all is said and done (June 30th)
