This is how our execs and managers got to where they are. If not, then their jobs should be re-posted. The company has already been rocketing less qualified persons into high level positions that they are not ready for. Chevron people are smart. Do they think this is not noticed? Oh, maybe we really do need to re-post some of those senior positions. Do they really understand how to lead, motivate and keep morale high.

My thought exactly. In fact, I’m quite discouraged with Chevron. At this point I just hope I get the EOI and get a fresh start
Unfortunately this is where we have landed. It is not only Chevron, but the entire United States who have caved to social pressure. We are and have not been for quiet some time a merit based company. I am still amazed to see some of the people who are in leadership. It is truly a great tragedy.
There are plenty of examples of hiring less qualified people due to other preferences and accumulations given to other boxes that have been checked besides experience and qualifications
