Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

To Clearwater: Have you heard rumors that you are getting Urbana's Aero lighting jobs?

That's the rumor up here. I'd consider a transfer to Florida if they offer it.

We lost so much talent and manpower for the people on the floor in this last year. We are floundering after that last set of RIFs in lighting, and the Golden Valley project is f—ing everyone over here because they over promised, and started running before they knew how to run the product. Our wiper blades in lighting sold the assembly and fabrication jobs to someone else.

They way things are going with the economy and they way Urbana management is f—ing things up, I wouldn't be surprised to see another consolidation of assembly and FAB facilities.

@fyo+15BvuIhB Yes that something is happening and no about specifically to Florida.

It says that we shopped out our wipers to North Carolina.

We have seen a massive ramp up of parts, and are being asked to week at least 55 hours a week. I've seen huge orders for parts that we might make 10 of in a year come in for 60 parts. I've seen that orders forecasted for raw stock disappear after August. This site isnt allowed to order a pack of toilet paper without corporate approval and approval from our site leader (although we can probably use the sandpaper just as well).

It sounds to me like we are ramping up on the components in stock. I think we'll really know if they RIF the assembly team hard, but keep the fabrication team.

Where would they put the line as they seem cramped for space since they took on Coon Rapids.

Urbana just needs to fix the problems at the source (ISC leadership). Mother Hon put in a ton of money into the site consolidation, and I find it insane that they would throw that effort out the window - just to thru it again at another location.

All of their fabrication issues are fixable.
