Is their point in staying hoping it gets better? Or should we try and get new jobs before the place goes bankrupt and we lose our jobs without getting a payoff

You must be the only one who is sat at their desk not job hunting and taking the salary for as long as possible
Why did Weatherford have to buy us?! Never been the same since the Petrowell days 😲
Have been told by senior management in Aberdeen there will be another round of RIF in Q3. Decent severance...stay...otherwise leave now if you can.

Hope you role doesn't involve decision making. Ever thought of becoming a Tarot Card reader?
Both - nothing to stop you applying to any jobs now, if it sinks before you get another so be it
Im sorry that this has happened. But it has. Best of luck to everyone and i apologize to those of you hired
The problem is that you can’t claim unemployment if you quit and then there’s the issue that nobody is hiring in any business, not just the oilfield. Think I’m going to hang tight.
At what point do you leave a sinking ship? when you're knee-deep in water or neck-deep? We are knee-deep right now and you should already be looking for a life boat.
Don't let the captain (Karl) fool you into waiting until you're neck deep and drown. The captain already has his life boat - $350k/ month until the boat sinks.
Less than 5 years’ service then probably better to move on. More than 5 years then you need to make your own decision. I have 10+ so I’m not walking away from that.
Last 2 RIF waves they're giving (in many countries) final pay off below local legal req, so adding legal costs won't worth claiming for the employee. this will worsen by Aug 5th with q2 results...
How can I put this?
