Nice of Macy’s to jerk it’s employees around for close to four months and then dump them days before health benefits run out. All while spending millions on fireworks and parades.

True on below statement. I can’t believe it’s going to be on 4-5 different nights. New Yorkers are getting enough unwanted fireworks now!
unfortunately Macys makes money on the parade and fireworks due to the sponsors.
I cant believe they let people go with 4 days left of healthcare.
I was planning on retiring July one and got my own insurance for 6 months until Medicare. So this was a blessing to me!
With regard to benefits, MACYS Inc's layoffs timing seems calculated. 2019-20 Benefits plan end on JUN 30. Enrollment for 2020-21 start opens JUL 1.

The company no longer has any ounce of grace. Just panic year after year after year.
Chaos is the best way to get employees to leave and those that toughed it out will only be rewarded with job loss for the misery.
