Has anyone that has been laid off today gotten their email about their severance. I was told I would get it today.

I got laid off (corporate) and my severance info was available on insite around 7pm then I received the email around 9pm.
Agree. You’re resigning if you do that . No severance.
To the person asking if they could request a lay-off
The answer is no. You can formally not accept the position they've offered you. This means you are resigning- affective immediately.

What about vacation accumulated pay?
Not sure what state you live in, but I was brought back only to realize my whole job function changed. After 6 weeks and realizing nothing is going to change I contacted my state unemployment agency. They said nothing they could do and contact my HR. (?) Noneeason to so so with new business strategy. I wish they could have been up front from the beginning; when they called me with the “good news.” I would have declined and switched my focus to job search 6 weeks ago. The “danger” of furlough vs lo.
At least part timers are getting it this time.
Hearing some people were told they are a go forward colleague and then later in the evening received a separation email. Anyone else hear of this?
I worked a full day, only to come home and after an hour of clocking out receiving my termination email at 7:45PM. No phone call from any leader.

Severance is usually one week per year of service, I.e. 12 years=12 weeks
I was kept on but was hoping to be laid off so I could continue collecting. They are changing my job functions . I wonder if I can request lay-off?
If we were furloughed and was already getting unemployment and now we are laid off do wee still request payments like normal I can not find an answer anywhere just about of we get pro pay our or severence we have to report it, when we get it.
I was laid off today as well and have not received any notification of what my severance package will be, but I don't expect it to be what was given in the past on mass layoffs....this has been handled very poorly and cold...I could tell my manager was reading a script....

Yeah where I just got an email and I site message saying I'm officially laid off and am eligible for severance and that I'll get a personalized message on insite but nothing yet

I’m on the west coast and was laid off at 9am... got the generic email at 1:30pm... and was told we would have our severance summary by midday... 🤦🏼♀️

No. This is not okay. They laid people off starting at 9am and we have no idea what our financial future holds? This is being handled pathetically, well, it’s not even being handled.
