Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

No meeting, no layoff?

if I don't have any meetings scheduled, does that mean I'm safe? From what I've been reading, most people got invites a day before the actual layoff. Is that really the case or am I just deluding myself?

I actually got my notice on a Friday afternoon for a Monday morning meeting. At least I had the weekend to come to terms with it.

This is HON you’re talking about. 4 years ago, I received a mandatory meeting request with 2 hours notice. No text in the email. One of my coworkers tried to decline as he had a telecom with Europe at same time. Response from director said “You are required to attend, period.”

Don’t expect any advance notice.

Non-production white collar job RIF’s will occur in multiple waves and one offs across all SBU’s over the next year.

I heard that you will get a mandatory meeting request about 30 min to 1 hour before they let you go.

Any other time I'd be happy to take the severance and run, but right now...
