Layoffs have been steady these couple of months. Today everyone in production was told too turn in uniforms By July 7th. Rumors are they are closing the doors, Good riddance i wanna see supervisors flex there nuts up and down the floor now. I also wanna see all the snitch a– lead mans flex there nuts. See you in the unemployment line.

8018 Breen Downhole are currently doing layoffs today. Around 15 guys and myself got cut.

They could have just consolidated everything into a shared facility, moving power section manufacturing into 8017, but NO then who would be the boss of that?
Just makes no sense to have a half used facility at 8017 and a barely functional one at 8018.
8018 is also an environmental nightmare that no one wants.
The don’t even have a current state air permit for all of the VOCs and solvent they are emitting from their carcinogenic processes!
Oh, but corporate structure dictates separation for future divestiture!

They should walk across to 8017 and close it as well, it’s been the worst place to work since day 1, headcount turnover is huge. CaPs Presidents worst idea ever and he hasn’t had many good ones in the last 20 years when will he go away ?
Uh, or maybe they got a cheaper contract with another uniform service vendor?
They’ve changed before to save cost.
I’m not saying I know anything about layoffs, and the rumors might true, but it is another potential explanation.
