Paid Time Off after layoff

Anyone who experiences job loss is entitled to be paid out for remaining vacation days and sick days(depending on state)not sure how remaining comp days are handled.
Since there is no access on my insite to PTO it might be wise to call HR to find out about remaining PTO.This is a totally separate payout from severance. They are also paying for three months of company contributions health coverage. After having a lengthy discussion with HR yesterday I was told certain areas of my insite will not be accessible after June 30 and a new password is needed to login.Temp and the last 4 of your social. You will need to call HR to get an explanation of direct deposits and HR will email a copy in a PDF file to verify areas included in payment.

Yes, state laws to pay accrued PTO and I did say accrued PTO will be paid. But I said there are no laws that say a company must even provide pto or only work is 5 days a week. That’s the point I was making to those who think they are required to even give us vacation days.

I'm in California and it is law that you are entitled to be paid for your accrued PTO. Other states have different rules.

You’re not “entitled” to remaining pto. There is no law saying companies must give you vacation time. Nor is there a law saying you can only work 5 days a week and have two days off. People don’t realize this.

You will be paid out for any pto that was actually accrued. Considering most of us have been back in stores for a month, that is a day or two maybe accrued.

If you are still on furlough, you have not accrued anything.

Hopefully they will pay something but in no way are we “entitled” to it.
