It's not just UOP. I see people leaving from Advanced Materials. They're told that they have a specific number of weeks to find another job internally or externally. I have heard some get only 2 weeks notice while others get 3 months. Seems like there is a cost cutting target to achieve by end of Q3 and polish it up for Q4.
Some folks were let go last week but rumor has it that others were also informed but will be staying on for several weeks, some even until October.
Once leadership see’s the numbers for VRIF they will know what they need for IVRIF. These will take place after the holiday.
All of UOP was asked to VRIF by July 1st. So there will be more IVRIF soon after. UOP just IVRIF'd 10% the week of June 15th. Why did they not do the VRIF first? I'm sure it's well thought out as always with leadership and is all part of the master plan.
