Well fellow managers looks like their going to extend our pay cuts through the rest of the 2020.

You gave up your rights to go back. You’re not a manager anyway. Just talking c-ap.
I'm a fairly new manager. I'm just hoping they don't cut my job. If they do, oh well I'll just go back to my craft and make more money.
If it last past August they’ll just cut managers. Didn’t you hear lance on the last COVID town hall. He said if carloadings Don’t reach the magic number they’ll have to do something entirely different. Read between those lines.
Give the managers 2 weeks off no pay that be great news
Fake news ... this didn’t happen
Like the majority of of the rumors on this lay-off.com
I took a 25% pay cut now I only give a phuck 75% of the time.
90% are s—asses and 10% are good
I must admit that I like a couple of the local managers and feel bad for them. Not all of them have drunk the Kool-Aid. They're just like us, trying to put food on the table.
They need the managers more work to do they look very bored just sitting in the offices sleeping
Loser manager that most likely afford lunch or sc-ape up 7 nickels to rub together.
i own 7 businesses. every time UP tanks a subsidiary I go in and buy it.
Just two problems. You don’t own a business and you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Retention stock awards larger than normal as a show of empathy. Four year vesting period means they get a couple years out of you for nothing once they terminate you prior to deadline. It's crazy that's legal to me. If I owned a business, I'd promise and distribute $100k RS to everyone. Get three years out of them, terminate, and call in the new recruits to do it again!
Stock awards at the end of RULA.
I think they are paying them under the table or somehow compensating them by some other means.
Be glad you even have a job.
I heard UP won’t be satisfied until they don’t pay their employees any money. Just like in the good old days. Lance longs for the days of his great granddaddy.
“We” are hearing things! LOL
We are hearing to expect a 25% reduction in manager's by the 1st of the year. When they bring the pay back 100% they are going to cut out 25% of managers.
I apologize to the they’re comment guy. I thought you were talking about my use of their.
I know some will say management cant form a union but ,its time for management to organize a union.
Ok, I never said a non agreement contract was violated. Just stating how UP will keep screwing management with this pay structure. The same way they do agreement. Trying to show sympathy for you guys. P.S. I stand by use of their not they’re.
Right. That’s why we know it was written by agreement. They can’t spell. And to the guy that thinks the non-agreement contract has been violated... he obviously doesn’t know what NON-agreement means.
They’re *
Precedent is set now. The company has many people willing to work under this pay structure. I would not be surprised if the company keeps this policy until forced to change it. That is only going to happen when managers can start walking out for other opportunities. UP has shown in the past, once they have the upper hand, they will keep it til the bitter end. Just ask agreement employees, who have their contracts violated repeatedly, until it just becomes a permanent change. We have known for years we are not valued. Management is learning this lesson now.
Great news!!!! Keep up the good work!!!
