Did anyone else watch the June 30th update on the technical center transformation? What a disaster. Chapter leads? A bunch of technical folk running around working on whatever without any prioritization? They honestly want CVX To be structured like a tech startup (startups blow through cash, remember). I realize why Lady Geagea didn’t present this update, he’s probably trying to distance himself from the coming train wreck.

Start by cutting the SCM & Lubricants folks that through a sustainable a– lickin...g strategy ended up as advisors in this company segment. Then, focus on what's left.
In my 20+ years, all we have done is go around in circles, so it’s only fitting that the CTC org slide is literally a circle.
If you survive and work in the Tech Center, focus on bolstering your resume so you can move on to a sensible company when prices pick up in 2-3 years. The new Tech Center structure offers little Career growth or advancement potential for tech types, other than gaining experience.
